A House, Alone (demo version)
A downloadable game for Windows
Step into the eerie remains of a recently abandoned house, where solitude, loss, and fear manifest through the Five Stages of Grief. As you navigate a repeating room, reality begins to warp—each iteration distorting the space, unraveling its story piece by piece. Objects scattered throughout the house hold fragments of its past, waiting to be uncovered.
Designed as an immersive psychological experience, this game focuses on atmosphere and emotion, blending a lo-fi, VHS-inspired aesthetic with haunting audio to heighten tension and unease.
Inspired by indie horror and suspense titles, we crafted this project with a passion for deep psychological immersion. Developed in Unity 3D, this game offers a short but intense journey into the unknown.
🔹 Psychological horror with a strong narrative
🔹 Dynamic environment that changes with each iteration
🔹 Lo-fi, degraded visuals inspired by VHS horror
🔹 Immersive audio design to amplify fear and tension
Can you face what lingers in the house… or will it consume you?
DISCLAIMER: This game was created as a demo project by two students in 2019 for a Multimedia Computing class as part of the program for the Bachelor's in Multimedia Art and does not reflect a fully polished experience.
